JOSEPHINE TASSY MATHÉ

Josephine Tassy Mathé was a free woman of color born in New Orleans in 1791. When she died in 1867, at the age of 77, she owned three lots of ground, one in the Faubourg Marigny and the others in Faubourg Tremé, together worth $5300.
