The newspaper was generally positive about the troupe's performance, noting that, "The agile and inimitable Leonide Massine, of course, is the life of the party, and to his own capable work at the head of the cast is due much of the success of these works, in staging which he also is a guiding spirit." As for Le Beau Danube, the reviewer proclaimed that it "...deserves the place of honor in the program, above the slightly outre central number. It is done entirely in pastel shades of brown, and white, the scene laid in a group. "The Beautiful Danube" pulsing throughout, Mlles. Toumanovka and Tchinarova at their best opposite the great Massine."
