Ecclesiastical - Father Friar Antonio Sedella	3	I	1	7/2/1784	Governor: Miro; Royal Ensign: De Reggio, Sr. - After a controversy with Reverend Father Cirilio de Barcelona concerning the arrest of one of his slaves (See “Slaves and Savage Negroes”) the Commissioners addressed a letter to His Majesty and one to the Bishop of Cuba accusing Father Antonio de Sedella of refusing spiritual assistance to the prisoners who were condemned at that time.
Ecclesiastical - Father Friar Antonio Sedella	3	II	6	1/18/1788	Governor: Miro; Royal Ensign: De Reggio, Jr. - Father Friar Antonio de Sedella asks the Cabildo for a testimonial verifying his activity, zeal, etc., as a pastor of this Province during the time he has held that position. The Commissioners authorized the testimonial.
Ecclesiastical - Father Friar Antonio Sedella	3	II	65	5/22/1789	Governor: Miro; Royal Ensign: De Reggio, Jr. - The Commissioners, recognizing the magnificent eulogy delivered by Reverend Father Friar Antonio de Sedella at the funeral rites of Charles III, resolved to petition His Majesty to bestow upon him the title of “His Majesty’s Preacher” (Orator).
Ecclesiastical - Father Friar Antonio Sedella	3	II	106	5/7/1790	Governor: Miro; Royal Ensign: Almonaster - The Very Reverend Father Friar Antonio de Sedella asks the Cabildo to attest the fact that they had previously given him a testimonial, and of their own accord had petitioned His Majesty to grant him the title of His Majesty’s Preacher (Orator). The Commissioners unanimously agreed that this be done. Later (page 139) a letter is received from Father Sedella, dated at the Royal Palace of El Prado, in which he thanked the Cabildo and informed them that the title of “His Majesty’s Honorary Preacher” had been conferred upon him.
